The application must be submitted by the vehicle owner or an authorized representative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Visit the RTO where your vehicle is currently registered.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collect Form 28 (three copies required).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide the chassis number imprint on each copy of Form 28<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fill in the required details &#8211; Vehicle owner\u2019s name and address, registration number and reason for requesting the NOC<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Submit the completed forms at the RTO counter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After verification, the RTO will process your request.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once approved, collect physical NOC from the RTO<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>These steps are to make a&nbsp;NOC certificate download. Note: The NOC will be valid for a specified period of time only.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Fees_for_the_NOC_certificate\"><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\"><strong>Fees for the NOC certificate<\/strong><\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">To get a NOC for your vehicle, you have to pay the costs set by your individual RTO, as outlined in Rule 81 of the CMV Rules 1989.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The fee for NOC certificate is around Rs. 100.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Validity_of_NOC\"><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\"><strong>Validity of NOC<\/strong><\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>NOC downloaded from Parivahan portal is valid for 6 months from the date of issue<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>If you are moving vehicle to another state, you must re register the vehicle within 6 months.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In case of vehicle sale, the buyer must register the vehicle at the new RTO within this period.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If the vehicle is not re registered within the validity period, the NOC expires and you will need to apply for fresh NOC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"When_a_NOC_is_required_for_a_vehicle\"><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\"><strong>When a NOC is required for a vehicle?<\/strong><\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Motor Vehicles Act of 1988 states that a&nbsp; you have to get NOC for vehicle for the&nbsp; following situations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">During the vehicle&#8217;s ownership transfer:<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>An NOC is required when a vehicle changes ownership because of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Sale or purchase of a vehicle<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Transfer after the owner\u2019s death<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vehicle auction<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>In these cases, the NOC comes from the RTO where the vehicle is currently registered. This allows the vehicle to be legally transferred or registered again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&nbsp;<\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">When re-registering a vehicle in a different state or union territory:<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If a vehicle is moved permanently from one state or union territory to another, it must be registered at the new RTO. For this process, NOC from the existing RTO is required.
