If your vehicle is financed, get Form 35 (No Objection Certificate) from the financier.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fill up Form 28.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Submit application for vehicle NOC along with supporting documents to the parent RTO where your vehicle is registered.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pay the requisite RTO fees.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Processing of the application at the RTO.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Issue of No Objection Certificate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 2: Vehicle Re registration and Road tax payment in the New State<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Fill out the  form 20 for re-registration<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Visit the RTO office in the new state <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Submit the forms and documents<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Physical inspection of vehicle at the new RTO <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pay the re registration fees and the applicable road tax <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Documents_required_for_Vehicle_Registration_Transfer\"><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Documents required for Vehicle Registration Transfer<\/strong><\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Following are the documents required for vehicle RC transfer:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1. Individual to Individual Transfer (No Prior Loan)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are transferring a vehicle from one person to another and there is no active loan involved,  following documents are required :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Original Registration Certificate (RC)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Two copies of Form 29 <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Two copies of Form 30 <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Copy of valid Insurance Certificate<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Copy of valid Pollution Under Control (PUC) Certificate<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Copy of Address Proof for the Buyer  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Affidavit signed by both the seller and buyer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2. Transfer of  Vehicle That Had a Loan<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following are the documents required for RC transfer if vehicle had a loan:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Original Registration Certificate (RC)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Two copies of Form 29  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Two copies of Form 30  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Two copies of Form 35, duly filled and signed by the registered owner<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A certificate from the financier (Bank) confirming all dues have been cleared<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Copy of valid Insurance Certificate<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Copy of valid Pollution Under Control (PUC) Certificate<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Two copies of Residential Certificate <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Affidavit signed by both the seller and buyer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_long_does_it_take_for_RC_transfer\"><\/span>How long does it take for RC transfer <span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The vehicle ownership transfer process from one state to another (inter state transfer) is 2 step process and 2 RTOs.
