passport, but most people call it renewal. Renewal before expiry<\/span> &#8211; You can apply for a passport re-issue up to one year before your passport expires.  While applying for renewal you can choose Re-issue of Passport and select the reason Validity expired\/due to Expire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Renewal after expiry<\/span>&#8211; If your passport&#8217;s validity has already expired, you can still apply for its renewal. Passport renewal process depends on how long it\u2019s been since your passport expired. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Within 3 years &#8211; Passport renewal procedure is same as normal re-issue. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>More that 3 years &#8211;
