For example, vehicle registered in Maharashtra starts with the code \u2018MH whereas in Delhi it is \u2018DL\u2019. Every state in India has at least 1 district in it, the district RTO itself manages the registration of new vehicles. If number is unavailable, then alphabets are used to replace the last digit.
