Israel Visa Requirements

For a Tourist Visa:

1.The applicant must fully complete and sign one application form. One application must be submitted per applicant.

2.Two Recent coloured passport-size photographs with a white background, not more than 6 months old. Please note that you must not staple the photograph to the application.

3.All documents should be in A4 size.

4.The Passport should be valid for at least six months (any other type of travel document should be valid for at least six months), beyond the intended duration of stay in the Israel territory. The passport must have at least one blank page at the end to affix the visa.

5.A covering letter from the applicant which includes details such as- the purpose, duration & itinerary of the visit in brief.

6.One VFS Consent form to be signed by the Applicant.

7.Leave letter from employer / school stating dates of travel/ No-Objection Certificate is required.

8.Proof of funds for stay / Evidence of source of financial support such as: Bank statement for last three months (Name of the applicant should be certified by the bank in the statement). Please note that the Embassy will not accept the statement which is downloaded from the internet.

9.Applicant must provide proof of purpose of the visit, which can be evidence of accommodation in Israel (e.g. confirmed hotel reservation or confirmation of organized tour).

10.Travel itinerary or copy of booking.

For a Business Visa:

1.The applicant must fully complete and sign one application form. One application must be submitted per applicant.

6.A signed invitation letter (in Hebrew) from the Israeli company containing following details:

  • Name of the applicant invited.
  • Passport number of the applicant.
  • Purpose of travel to Israel, and intended duration of stay in the country


7.Approval letter from the place of work stating purpose and duration of stay (signed by the authorized signatory)

8.Invitation letter in Hebrew/ English (signed by the authorized signatory) stating purpose of visit/duration of stay. Note that the letter must mention the invitee details such as their name & contact number.

9.Personal bank A/c statement for the last 4 months

10.Salary slip for the last 4 months

11.Travel/Medical insurance for duration of stay in Israel

12.Travel ticket –Booking (NOT CONFIRMED TICKET)

13.Photocopy of Aadhaar card

Note:

  • Applicants are advised to apply for a tourist visa at least 3 weeks in advance of your planned travel date so that there is enough time for the application procedure to be completed on time by the Embassy.
  • You must make sure to fill up your application form carefully with all accurate details. Please note that it is a felony to present false documents for your tourist visa and to hide or misrepresent facts in your application.
  • Applicants must bring original copies and photocopies of all supporting documents when you come to submit your visa application form at the Embassy of Israel, and you must be ready to show any additional documents, if requested by the officers at the Embassy.
  • In the event that the applicant has a valid visa and an entry /exit stamp for any one of the following countries (which was issued in the previous 3 years from the date of submission of application): USA/ Canada/ Schengen Countries/ Australia, they must submit it to the Embassy. In addition to this, if the applicant holds a visa to Israel that has been used (Entry/ Exit stamp) in past 3 years from the date of submission of application, they must submit it to the Embassy. Additionally, they do not have to submit their bank statement/ Flight ticket /salary slip for the visa application.
  • If the applicant has any of the documents mentioned above, they must attach one set of photocopy of all the documents, including the photocopy of valid visas to USA/Canada/Schengen/Australia to the Embassy. Please note that only A4 size and not in back to back format will be accepted.
  • IN CASE OF MINOR ACCOMPANYING PARENTS:


a) The original Birth Certificate of the applicant which is Apostilled (attested by MEA) must be submitted.

b) Both parents (Father and Mother) need to be present at the embassy in order to sign the Minor consent form. They must schedule an appointment for the visit in the embassy through IVP prior to their visit.

c) In the event that one of the parents is not in India then he/ she must sign the Minor consent form at Embassy of Israel in that particular country of which he/she is a citizen of.

  • The officials may request a personal appearance at the Embassy for an interview, and the applicants must be present.

Processing time for all categories will be minimum of 5 working days (excluding day of submission of application at Israel Visa Services) For Fast Track applications :

  • For Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore, the processing time is 2 working days (48 hours).
  • For Kolkata, the processing time is 4 working days.

Duration of Visa:

1.Please note that the validity of the B/1 Work visa will be in accordance with Ministry of Interior guidelines, and will be determined accordingly. The worker/ applicant must enter Israel within the period of time specified in the visa and can stay in the country only for the period of time as specified in the visa.

2.A tourist B/2 visa to Israel is valid for up to three months from the date of issue. The duration of the applicant’s stay in Israel will be determined by the Border Police upon landing in the country.

Note:

  • If your application for tourist visa is refused or rejected for any reason, your application fee will not be refunded.
  • As the USD to INR exchange rate fluctuates, the applicable Visa Fee and Service Charges will also change. These rates will be decided by Embassy/ Consulate of Israel per fluctuation, and can change without notice.
  • The additional charges such as Visa fee & Israel Visa Services Service charges, courier charges and form filling charges are non-refundable in the event that the visa is refused or withdrawn (by the applicant).
  • The Embassy of Israel offers an optional courier facility which is available at INR 461/- (Inclusive of Service Tax) per application / passport.
  • The Embassy of Israel offers an optional form filling facility which is available at INR 104/- (Inclusive of Service Tax) per application / Visa application form.
  • The visa fee and other Service charges would be accepted in CASH only at the Embassy.
  • The Embassy of Israel offers an optional SMS service Facility which is available at INR150/- (inclusive of service tax) per visa application form.

  • Next you must upload the File or attachment of your Id Proof such as Voter ID, Pan Card or Aadhar Card.
  • Next you must agree to the Declaration stated on the form, and enter the Applicant’s name, place, and date.

Step 3: Submit the application After filling in the details and attaching the documents, you can click on Submit application. Your application will be submitted and an automatic generated reference no. will show on top of the form. You must make note of the reference number, and take a printout of the application.

Step 4: Gather the documents which are required for visa application Applicants are advised to make a check list of the documents that you need to submit along with your application form. After gathering all the documents, keep them ready for submission along with your printed application form.

Step 5: Provide photograph for your visa application You must provide two passport size copies of a recent colour photograph for the visa application. Your photograph must be recent, and not older than 6 months. The following are the photo specifications as outlined by the Embassy of Israel:

  • The photograph must be in colour.
  • It should have a light background.
  • It should have a close up of your head and top of your shoulders such that your face takes up 70% to 80% of the photograph.
  • It should be in sharp focus and should not be dirty.
  • It should have no ink marks and creases and should be of high quality.
  • You must be looking directly at the camera in the photograph.
  • It should have dimensions of 5.5cm * 5.5cm.
  • It should show your skin tone naturally.
  • It should have appropriate brightness and contrast.
  • It is to be taken without headgear(such as a hat or cap).
  • If the applicant wears headgear on religious grounds, then the photograph can be taken with headgear, after consideration on case to case basis. However, the main characteristics of the face (Chin, nose, eyes and eyebrows) must be apparent from the photograph, and must not be covered. The forehead should be uncovered such that the shape of the face is apparent.
  • The applicant's hair must be tucked behind his/her ears in the photograph.
  • The photograph should not have any staple marks on it.
  • Scanned & colour photocopies of a photograph will NOT be accepted.


Step 6: Keep the visa application fee ready Applicants must know the latest visa application fee and the modes of accepting the fee at the Israel consulate or embassy before reaching the office.

Step 7: Submit the visa application At your selected Israel consulate or embassy, you can submit your visa application form along with all the required documents and the necessary visa application fee. In the event that you want to submit your visa application through your travel agent or your representative, he or she must carry a photo id proof along with an authority letter signed by you. The sample authority letter format can be downloaded from the URL http://www.israelvisa.in/uploads/userfiles/file/Authority-Letter_140410.pdf. After submission of your visa application, you can track the status of your visa by clicking the URL http://www.israelvisa.in/ . There you must click on ‘Track Application’ on the main top panel. You will then be redirected to the tracking page, where you can select which centre you submitted the form at. You will then have to enter your Reference Number, Passport Number, and Date of Birth. You visa application status will then be displayed on the screen.

Step 8: Collect your visa You can collect your visa personally by visiting the Israel visa application centre, after it has been approved. However, you may also send a representative to collect the visa on your behalf. In the event that this occurs, your representative must carry a photo id proof of themselves along with an authority letter signed by you. Applicants please note that you may also have your passport couriered to your specified address. This facility can be requested by you at the time of submitting your visa application and avail this service against the payment of an additional fee in cash, which is mentioned above.

Extension

Extension of Israel Tourist Visa

In the event that you wish to remain in Israel for a longer period of time than the duration granted in your visa, you will have to apply for an extension. You can submit an application for your visa extension at one of the regional population administration offices of the Ministry of the Interior, Israel, during your stay in the country.After you have paid the required fee, your request will be processed, and you will be granted the extension. There are some other requirements that must be met.
