  2. Driving licence has expired more than one year before. In this scenario visit to RTO is mandatory.
  3. Driving licence is in the form of paper licence. Normally data of this type of driving licence is not available on the online portal of parivahan. In this scenario driving licence can not be applied online in Bangalore. For data entry of old DL into parivahan portal RTO visit is required. 3. How can I renew my driving licence online in Bangalore ?

  • Navigate to the “Online Services” drop-down menu and select “DL Related Services”.
  • Select the state name “Bangalore” from the drop-down list on the next page.
  • Click on “Apply for DL Renewal”, read the instructions on the next page and click the “Continue” button.
  • Enter your DL number and date of birth, input the captcha code and click on “Get DL Details”.
  • Verify the DL details, select the DL category, state and RTO and click “Proceed”.
  • Select “DL Renewal” as the service type and fill out the online form.

  • Note the system-generated application number and print/download the acknowledgement receipt.

4. What happens If an accident occurs after the expiry of your Driving Licence?

5. What is the grace period for DL renewal in Karnataka?
