Re-registration of the vehicle in India is a process of renewal-RC (registration certificate) of a car. As per the Central Motor Vehicle Rules, all private vehicles should re-register the vehicle after 15 years every five years, for as long as the Road Transport Office (RTO) department considers it roadworthy. In short, when your registration certificate expires, As a result, you should re-register your vehicle every five years.

Every registration certificate must be renewed not more than 60 days before the date of its expiry of the registration if it is being used continuously.
