The slot booking for a driving licence is required for the learning licence written test as well as the driving skill test. DL slot booking is nothing but scheduling an appointment for a written or driving test at RTO.

You must visit the respective RTO during your scheduled appointment. Before booking, you can check available slots online for the Learner’s License (LLR) and driving test. To book a driving license (DL) slot, you will need to log in to the Parivahan website using your application number and date of birth.

Steps for slot booking for driving licence

First you have to apply online for learning licence and then book slot for LL written test.

Following are the steps for LLR slot booking:

1. Visit Parivahan portal 
2. Choose state of residence
3. Click on appointment and select ‘LLR slot booking’
4. Enter application number and applicant’s date of birth and ‘proceed’
5. Check calendar and book available slot for online test
6. Confirm the appointment

After passing the learner’s test, you receive your Learner’s licence. It is valid for 6 months, and after 30 days, you can apply for the driving licence (DL) test.

Driving licence slot booking online

Following are the steps for DL slot booking for permanent driving licence:

1. Visit the official site ‘Parivahan Sewa’
2. Choose state of residence
3. Click on the ‘Appointment slot booking’
4. Click on the ‘DL slot booking’
5. Enter the application number or the learner’s license number
6. Enter your date of birth and submit
7. Verify all details
8. Select a date and time for appointment at RTO
9. Proceed and OTP will be sent to your registered number
10. Verify your OTP to confirm your online appointment for driving licence.

Note:

You must appear at the RTO on the scheduled appointment with your Learner’s licence, application slip and vehicle. If you pass the DL test, you will get your smart driving licence at your postal address in 30 days.
