Greece Visa Appointment

Indians can apply for a Greece Schengen visa application to visit Greece for a short stay through Greece’s own visa application centers in India. You need to submit your application and documents at GVC Visa application centers. To visit VAC, you have to book a Greece visa appointment online on the official portal of the Greece visa center.

There may be a long waiting time for a Greece visa appointment due to peak season or any other reason. Thus, you should apply for a Greece visa prior to your travel date. You are allowed to apply 6 months before your intended travel dates.

There are two distinct types of Greek visas for Indians. You have to book a Greece visa appointment for all types of Greece visas available for Indians.

How to book Greece Visa appointment India?

For applying for Greece visa, you need to download the Greece visa form and fill it out. Then it needs to book an appointment at your nearest GVC VAC. On the day of your appointment, take your documents, visa form and the appointment slip to to VAC. You have to submit your documents, biometrics and visa form to the VAC. Thereafter, pay the visa fee and GVC service charge. You have to wait for the approval of your Greece visa.

You can schedule an appointment with any Global Visa Centre VAC in India by following the steps below:-

1. Identify the nearest Global Visa Centre VAC from your home.
2. Click on Visa | Sign in to GVCW (gvcworld.eu)
3. Create a New Account
4. Enter all the details and select your GVC VAC and your communication language from the drop-down lists.
5. Login with your username and password.
6. Enter your personal details.
7. Select your desired time and date from the appointment calendar.
8. Select your desired optional facilities.
9. Pay for the appointment booking
10. Take a print out of the acknowledgment letter after submission.
11. Go to the VAC on the day of appointment with visa form, documents, acknowledgment letter.
12. Give your biometrics and pay the visa fee and service charges.
13. The VAC will notify you when the Embassy/Consulate of Greece approves your Visa.

The Hellenic Republic of Greece has its own external service provider named Global Visa Centres. Global Visa Centre has Visa Application Centres all over India. The Locations and the area of jurisdictions of the  all the GVC Application Centres in India are given in the table.

Documents required at Greece visa application center

The following are the basic documents are required to apply for a Greece Visa in India:-

1. Greece Visa Application form
2. Two recent passport-sized photos.
3.  Passport with 2 blanks and validity for the next 3 months. It must be issued within the previous 10 years.
4. Medical Insurance of 30000 Euros.
5. Photocopy of biodata page of the passport.

You have to submit additional documents for other Greece Visas along with these basic documents as per the purpose of visit. 

Greece visa processing time

The Greece Schengen Visa takes around 15 working days to be processed. The time may increase to 45 days if there is a need for consultation from other Schengen countries. If you have submitted to any other GVC VAC besides New Delhi, you need to take 5 more days into consideration for processing time. All Visa application submitted to GVCs in India are forwarded to GVC VAC, New Delhi before they are sent to the Embassy of Greece in India.
