The following documents are needed to register and obtain a marriage certificate in Mumbai.

  • Filled up Application Form, duly signed by both groom and bride.
  • Original Wedding Card/Invitation 
  • Affidavits of the couple
  • Address proof for both bride and groom.(Aadhar/ Passport/ Voter Id) 
  • Age Proof for both bride and groom. (10th certificate/ Birth certificate, driving licence, PAN card)
  • Identity proofs of bride and groom (Aadhar/ Passport/ Voter Id/PAN/Ration)
  • If the marriage takes place in an official religious location, then declaration by the priest/kazi.
  • For divorcees, an order of divorce and verified copies of death certificates are for widows/widowers.

  • 3 witnesses with ID proof and address proof
