  1. Go to the VFS Global website  and then click “Get started now”:
  2. Download the visa application form to complete it.
  3. Print, sign, and bring with you when submitting your application to VFS Global.
  4. Make an appointment for VFS visa application center
  5. Visit a visa application center on appointment day for verification
  6. Payment of fees
  7. Track your application online, by the use of reference number mentioned on the invoice or receipt issued by VFS Global.
  8. Get your passport

Once a decision has been made on your visa application, you can collect your documents from VFS Global or request a return of your documents (if provided by VFS) for an additional fee.

A German transit visa is strictly for transiting via Germany, not for prolonged stays or touring friends and family. If you plan to spend time in Germany for non-transit purposes, you have to get Schengen visa.
