Documents required for minor passport
Indian parents can apply for minor passport their kids. The process remains same as for adults, you have to fill out online form and book appointment for PSK visit. Then it is necessary to visit PSK for documents and biometric verification. Here are the list of the documents required for minor passport

Note: If the minor age is between 15 to 18 years and want to get 10 years validity passport, you have to submit proof of ECNR as additonal documents along with given above.
List of Acceptable Address Proof
One important thing to note is that current address proof of parent is also accepted as a valid document for minors
- Utility bills (water, telephone, electricity, gas)
- Income tax assessment order
- Election commission photo ID card
- Employer certificate on letterhead
- Spouse’s passport copy (if address matches)
- Parent’s passport copy (for minors)
- Aadhaar card
- Rent agreement
- Bank passbook (from scheduled banks only)

- Only present address proof required, irrespective of stay duration

List of Acceptable Birth Proof
You can use one of the following documents to prove birth of minor
- Birth certificate from municipal authorities
- School transfer or leaving certificate
- Policy bond from a public life insurance company
- Orphanage or child care home declaration
As per new rules, for individuals born on or after October 1, 2023 need to provide birth certificate as proof of borth compulsorily
Proof of Non-ECR
Some children need to submit Non-ECR proof when applying for a passport. The documents required depend on the parents’ profession or status:
