- Groom is 21+ years old
- Bride is 18+ years old
- Both are unmarried/widowed/divorced
- Applying in the correct district (where bride/groom/parents live)
- You have permanent address proof (Aadhaar with correct address)
- You are not closely related by blood
Note –
You can only apply at a sub registrar office in the district where:
- The groom lives permanently, OR
- The bride lives permanently, OR
- Either partner’s parents live permanently
Documents Required for Marriage registration in UP

For bride and groom (both need these documents):

How to apply for Marriage Registration in UP
- Visit the homepage of the Integrated Complaint Resolution System.
- Click on the “Marriage Registration”
- Enter the Groom’s Aadhaar number. You will receive an OTP on the registered mobile number.
- Enter the OTP. The system will automatically fetch all the groom’s details from the Aadhaar Database, including the photo.
- Enter the bride’s Aadhaar number. Enter the OTP sent to her registered mobile number.
- Fill in any additional personal details of the groom that the form requires.
- Upload the groom’s photograph and all required documents. Click “Save”.
- Enter all the bride’s details and upload her documents. Click “Save”.
- Enter wedding details and click on “Save” after filling in details.
- Enter the details of two witnesses. Upload their photographs and ID proofs.
- After entering all the details, the candidate can preview the entered details.
- Preview all the information you have entered.
- If all details are correct, read the declaration and click “Submit”.
- You will see Application Reference Number on the screen. Take screenshot for future reference.
- Pay the marriage registration fee online using the available payment options.
- After you submit and pay, the authorities will process your application. They will verify the details and issue your marriage certificate
