Applying for a fresh passport, minor passport, or passport renewal in Delhi requires filling out the online application, remitting official government fees, booking a slot at your local Passport Seva Kendra (PSK), and completing police verification.
You can complete this process in one of two ways:
Self-Service Route: Handle all documentation, online filing, and slot booking directly via the official Passport Seva portal.

The Indian Passport in Delhi is issued by Ministry of External Affairs. While online passport apply in Delhi, you need to choose the category on the basis of age that are classified as:
Adult passport: Indians above 18 years of age can apply for adult category of passport application in Delhi .
Minor passport: Indians below 18 years of age are eligible to apply under minor category. The minor must have a separate passport as per the Indian passport act. There are two categories of minor passports based on the validity of the passport, i.e.
Validity of Indian passport
An adult passport is valid for a period of 10 years. Minor passport is valid for 5 years or till the minor attains 18 years of age, whichever is the earliest.

For tatkal passport, you to pay fees of Rs 5000 for application.

No, for passport applications like new passport or re-issue of passport you are not allowed to visit passport seva kendra without appointment. However, walk-in is allowed for purposes like getting NOC for old pending application for passport, extreme medical emergencies.
Marriage certificate is not mandatory to add spouse's name in the passport. Simply mentioning the spouse's name in the application form is sufficient. However, its always safer to carry marriage certificate if you have during addition of spouse name in the passport.
