The Indian Passport in Ghaziabad is issued by Ministry of External Affairs. While online passport apply in Ghaziabad, you need to choose the category on the basis of age that are classified as:
Adult passport: Indians above 18 years of age can apply for adult category of passport application in Ghaziabad.
Minor passport: Indians below 18 years of age are eligible to apply under minor category. The minor must have a separate passport as per the Indian passport act. There are two categories of minor passports based on the validity of the passport, i.e.
Validity of Indian passport
An adult passport is valid for a period of 10 years. Minor passport is valid for 5 years or till the minor attains 18 years of age, whichever is the earliest.

1. What is the process for issue of Passport under Normal scheme ?
For passport under Normal scheme one should apply to the passport office under the jurisdiction of which it falls. Applicant will be allotted a date and time slot for document verification and further processing . After this there will be police verification . If it is positive passport will be issued.
2. What is the process for issue of Passport under Tatkal scheme?
If somebody needs passport urgently , he/she can apply for Passport under Tatkal scheme . For this other than the documents required under normal scheme , applicant will have to arrange Annexure 'F' ( certificate) from class I officer and Annexure 'I' (Affidavit ) . Under Tatkal scheme in one week time passport is issued.
