UAE visa for Indians

All Indian applicants who are planning to visit the UAE must apply for a UAE visa from India, even if they are just transiting through Abu Dhabi. The process to apply for an UAE visa has gone online, which makes it very quick. Before knowing the process, the Indian applicants must know the type of visa they are going to apply for. The types of visas can be transit, tourist, golden, etc. The process becomes much easier after knowing the type of visa, as he/she gets knowledge of documents required, eligibility criteria, processing times, and so on.

Indian applicants are required to fill out an online application form for UAE visa. They can also book airplane tickets to the UAE before applying for the UAE visa. The validity of the stay depends on the visa. The tourist visa is valid for up to 60 days from the date of issue whereas a transit visa, which is a 48- hour or 96-hour visa, is valid for 30 days from the date of issue. In case, you hold a transit visa, your entry and exit have to be from an UAE airport only.

After completing the UAE visa application procedure, the Indian applicants need to take a printout of the same. The printout of the UAE visa is necessary to show the immigration officer.

It is advisable to apply for UAE visa at least one month prior to your planned travel in UAE.
To be eligible for travel visa, the passport should be valid for at least 6 months.

Types of Visa

Types of UAE Visa

48 hours visa: This is a single entry visa which is valid for only 48 hours stay. This visa is preferred by Indian applicants who visit UAE for business purposes or taking stopovers en route to their onward journey. Its validity is 30 days from the date of issue.
96-hour visa: This is a single entry visa which is valid for only 96 hours. This type of preferred to those who plan to stay in UAE for less than 4 days. The validity of this type of visa is also 30 days from the date of issue.
Short term visit single entry- tourist visa: The entry validity for all types of UAE tourist visas is 58 days from the date of issue. After getting entered in UAE, stay validity of visa can be extended twice. The first extension is allowed for 30 days and the second extension is allowed for 20 days. The fee for extension is AED 850 for each time.
Multi-entry short term visa: Indian applicants must make their first entry in UAE within validity period of 58 days. Within the period of 30 days, the applicants can make multiple entries/ exists to/ from UAE. It is important to note that the entry must be on or before 30th day.
Multi entry long term visa: The applicants must make their first entry in UAE within validity period of 58 days. Within the period of the 60 days, travelers can make multiple entries/ exists to/ from UAE. It is important to note that the entry must be on or before 60th day.

Step 1: Visit the website https://smartservices.icp.gov.ae/.

Step 2: Click on “Public services”.

Step 3: Select the type of visa you are going to apply for.

Step 4: Click on “Start Service”.

Step 5: on the next page, your application form will appear on your screen.

Step 6: Fill the form carefully with all the correct details.

Step 7: Upload the required documents and make the payment.

Note: While uploading the documents, make sure you don’t make any mistake. In case you do something wrong, your UAE visa application process would get delayed and the officials will ask you for additional documents for verification.

You will receive a request number on your email. It will be useful while tracking the application form.
