Procedure for the Birth and Death registration

In many states of India, birth and dealth registration process is online through state portals and also provide offline facility for birth and dealth registry. Still common process for registration of birth and dealth remains same.

For Birth registration:

  • Report the birth within 21 days to the local Registrar of Births.
  • If born in a hospital, collect the Birth Report/Slip from hospital authorities.
  • Fill the Birth Registration Form (offline or online via state portal).
  • Attach required documents:
