Passport fees in India
To get an Indian passport, you have to apply on the official website of Passportseva with online form filling, passport fees payment, and online booking of an appointment for PSK.
There are broadly three factors on which fees for Indian passport depend:
- Type of services (new or renewal)
- Age category (adult or minor passport)
- Mode of application (normal or tatkal)
According to the above factors, the passport price in India varies. You can pay passport fees online or using an SBI bank challan. For a tatkal passport, it needs to pay normal application fees while booking an appointment, and the rest of the tatkal service charge of Rs 2000 will be payable in cash at PSK.

Rebate in Passport fees
For fresh Passport application, a rebate of 10% on basic Passport fees in India will be applicable for

You can pay passport application fees online. All you have to do is go to the official website of passportindia.gov.in and follow these steps.
- Log in using existing user account on passport seva official website .
- Click on view saved/submitted application
- Click on pay and schedule appointment
- Select online payment
- Select appointment for preferred PSK
- Verify details and redirect to payment page
Pay fees for Indian passport using SBI challan
If you choose the challan option, go to your nearest SBI branch and pay the amount and collect the receipt. After minimum 2 days of challan payment, check for payment status. if it shows ‘success’, you can book appointment for PSK visit.
