The procedure for obtaining an Indonesia visa on arrival for Indian is outlined below in simple steps. 

  1. Indian applicants flying to Indonesia are given a passenger Arrival Card on the flight. If the card is not given to them, they can obtain it from the arrival area  at the airport.
  2. It needs to fill out Passenger Arrival Card  before passing through Customs Passport Control. 
  3. After passing the Customs Passport Control, applicants must collect their baggage and proceed through customs and biosecurity checks.
  1. Next, the applicants will need to go to the counter and pay the fees, which is 35 US Dollars (i,e. Rs.2,910)
  2. Once the payment is successful, the authorities will provide an entry stamp on the passport. 
  3. Following that, the applicants will need to go to another counter to get the counterfoil visa.
  4. The last and final step is to go through the immigration checkpoint and get an official entry into Indonesia.  

Note: It is important to note that Indian applicants who wish to stay in Indonesia for a period of more than 60 days are required to apply for a different type of visa. This is so because the Indonesia visa on arrival for Indian (VOA) is only valid for 30 days. Though the applicants can apply for extension of VOA for another 30 days, it is safe to apply for a different visa before travelling to the country. After reaching  Indonesia, an applicant can not convert an Indonesian visa on arrival  into any other type of visa, once . 

How to get Indonesia electronic visa on arrival ?

The applicants can apply for Indonesia e- VOA any time before their trip. The procedure for obtaining Indonesia e- VOA is as follows:

  1. Visit the official e-visa website for Indonesia.
  2. Click on Apply and start filling the required information in the provided form.
  3.  Verify all of the information is correct. Proceed to payment.
  4. Choose the payment method as per your convenience.
  5. Fill out all of the information on the payment page and verify your payment as directed.After completing the payment, the Indonesia e- VOA will be sent on your email Id.
  6.  Download or print the e- VOA before departure.
  7. Visit the e- VOA counter upon arrival in the country.

At last, the officer will scan the QR code on your Indonesia e- VOA. He will verify all the information and put a VOA sticker on the passport.
