A) Hindu Marriage Act

Normal Marriage Registration
To apply for a marriage certificate online in Delhi, the application, affidavits, and other supporting documents must be submitted through the eDistrict Delhi portal. If all documents are complete, the date and time for marriage registration in Delhi will be assigned.
After applying for a marriage certificate online in Delhi, the husband, wife, and two witnesses should appear in the Sub Divisional Magistrate’s office on the day of the appointment with the original documents. To register your marriage in Delhi, you must be present in person. Marriage certificates cannot be issued to those who are not present.
After applying for a marriage certificate online in Delhi, the married couple must appear in the Sub Divisional Magistrate’s office on the day of the appointment for a face-to-face meeting and to have their joint photograph taken, which will appear on the marriage certificate. You must post one copy of the notice on the office bulletin board and mail another copy to the marriage officer in the area where either you or your spouse has a current or permanent address.
You will receive your marriage certificate 30 days after the date of notice, after the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) has decided on any objections received during that time. Both parties, as well as three witnesses, must be present on the date of registration/solemnization. A register for filing objections is available with the Dealing Assistant in the SDM’s office. You will receive your marriage certificate within 14 days of registration.
