When to pay Switzerland visa price in India?

Indians have to apply for Swiss visa through VFS visa application center. The application process consists of few steps as mentioned: 

1. Visits VFS website and  Download the visa application form 
2. Fill out and sign the visa form.
3. Book an Swiss visa appointment with the nearest VFS Visa application centre.
4. Visit the visa application centre  and submit documents, visa form
5. Give your biometrics
6. Payment of fees
7. Wait for visa approval

Things to know about Swiss visa fees

1. The applicable Swiss Visa Fee in Indian Rupees is as per the current exchange rate. It is subject to change as per the latest exchange rates.
2. VFS Visa service charges are inclusive of SGST @ 9% and CGST @ 9%.
3. In any case of refund for Online or POS Transactions from VFS Global, a bank charge will be deducted. The refund of Online Payment is processed within 5–7 working Days and that of POS Payment is processed within 21 working Days.
4. Payment of visa fee does not guarantee the approval of your visa application.
5. The fee for the National visa due at the time of the application will not refundable by the Embassy of Switzerland. If you withdraw the National visa application, or it is rejected, the fee will not be reimbursed under any circumstances.

Minimum Bank balance required for Switzerland Visa

Indians need to show proof of sufficient funds to apply for a Switzerland visa. Indian nationals going to Switzerland must prove that they have around CHF 100 per day for daily expenses. Students must prove that they have around 30 CHF per day by means of a valid student card.

The evidence of the minimum bank balance can be shown with bank statements, payslips, credit card bills for the last 6 months. You can also present a statement from a family member or guardian or sponsor, along with a letter confirming that they are funding your Swiss trip.

If you apply for a Schengen Visa, you have to pay the visa fee online at VFS website. You can pay the visa fee and service charges of the VFS online while booking the visa appointment at the VFS website. You can pay by any Credit card, debit card, visa card and UPI.
