Vehicle Registration in Goa
If you buy a new vehicle in Goa, you must register it with the RTO. This is required by law and helps keep track of vehicles on the road.
1. Temporary Registration
- When you buy a new vehicle, the dealer gives you a temporary registration.
- This is valid for 7 days, and can be extended up to 30 days for private (non-transport) vehicles.
- It allows you to drive the vehicle home and prepare for permanent registration.
- The dealer usually applies for this using Form C.R. Tem A.
2. Permanent Registration
- You must apply for permanent registration within 7 days of getting the vehicle.
- Driving without registration is illegal.
- Once registered, you get:
