A) Hindu Marriage Act

Tatkal Marriage Registration in Delhi
If you need to register your marriage urgently, the tatkal marriage registration option is available for Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, and Jain couples.

  1. Submit your documents and pay the additional fee for tatkal services
  2. Your documents will be verified, and the marriage registration will be completed on the same day
  3. The marriage certificate will be issued at the end of the process

B) Delhi Anand marriage registration

Marriage registration in Delhi of Sikh married couples is done under the Delhi Anand marriage registration act 2018. Delhi Anand marriage act came into force on 8th February 2018. Under this act a Sikh marriage already solemnized can be registered in the jurisdiction of the marriage registrar office where either of the couple’s place of residence is or where the marriage took place.   3. If no objections are received within 30 days, the marriage can be registered

Important Points:

  • A copy of the notice is sent to the marriage officer in the area where either spouse resides
  • On the date of registration, both spouses and three witnesses must appear at the SDM office

Once registered, you will receive your marriage certificate within 14 days.

Penalty for Late Marriage Registration in Delhi
