- Click on “Online Services” and then select “Vehicle Related Services.”
- Choose “Haryana” from the list of states
- Select Regional Transport Office (RTO) or registering authority from the dropdown menu. Click “Proceed.”
- Click on “Pay Your Tax”
- Enter your vehicle’s registration number (e.g., HRXXAB1234) and other required details
- After verifying your details, you will be directed to secure payment gateway
- Select your preferred payment method
- After successful payment, download and print your payment receipt for your records.
Haryana Road tax as per categories of vehicles
There are different Haryana Road taxes on different vehicles depending on various factors such as the type of vehicle, its model, and usage. There are 3 categories in which the road tax is imposed. Following are the three categories of vehicles:

1. Road Tax for Two-Wheeler Vehicles

- For vehicles with an ex-showroom price up to ₹75,000: 4% of the vehicle’s cost.
- For vehicles with an ex-showroom price above ₹75,000 and up to ₹2 Lakhs: 6% of the vehicle’s cost.
- For vehicles with an ex-showroom price above ₹2 Lakhs: 8% of the vehicle’s cost.
2. Road Tax for Four-Wheelers
- For vehicles with an ex-showroom price up to ₹6 Lakhs: 5% of the vehicle’s cost.
- For vehicles with an ex-showroom price above ₹6 Lakhs and up to ₹20 Lakhs: 8% of the vehicle’s cost.
- For vehicles with an ex-showroom price above ₹20 Lakhs: 10% of the vehicle’s cost.
3. Road Tax for Commercial Vehicles
Commercial vehicle road tax involves periodic payments (e.g., quarterly) and can vary significantly based on factors like seating capacity (for passenger vehicles) or laden weight (for goods vehicles). Following are the quarterly road tax rates for passenger carrying commercial vehicles (excluding driver):
- Up to 4 seats: ₹600 quarterly
- Between 4 to 6 seats: ₹625 quarterly
- Between 7 to 12 seats: ₹1450 quarterly
