For Tourism

• Last 3 month bank statements
• Last 3 month salary slip
• Last 3 year income tax return

For Business/Conference

• Employer cover letter
• Certificate of Employment

• Invitation letter from host in Japan (contract, conferences, business details)

If Expenses paid by host company

• Original letter of guarantee from host

Japan visa document requirements may change based on your occupation. Below are additional documents required as per your occupation.

If the applicant is employed

• Leave sanctioned letter from employer / NOC

If the applicant is business owner

• Proof of business ownership such GST, ROC

Photo requirements for Japan visa

Following are the photo requirement for Japan visa:

• The photo should not be older than 6 months
• Visa photo size should be 35  X 45 mm
• Face should cover  70% – 80% of photo
• It must be colored with plain white background
• Photo should be taken looking straight forward
• It should be printed on a good quality paper
