If you have moved your car or bike from other state to Hyderabad, You should re-register vehicle in Hyderabad within 12 months, as per motor vehicle act. If caught by traffic police, penalty may be imposed. 9. Can I pay the road tax without changing the vehicle number?

No, its not possible to pay only road tax without changing vehicle number. Road tax payment is possible only with complete re-registration process.

10. What happens if my vehicle has an active loan (Hypothecation) from another state?

If your vehicle has active loan from another state, in that case you need to get loan continuation letter from the bank/ financer. RTO will not re-register vehicle Without NOC from the bank.

11. What if my home state ignores or rejects the tax refund request?

Its little difficult to get road tax refund in India in the most of states. Procedure is often not defind. So, while planning shifting of vehicle from one state to another , research it properly , as it has financial implications.
