You can download the Digilocker app(DigiLocker – Apps on Google Play/ DigiLocker on the App Store (apple.com)) or visit the official website of Digilocker  to download marriage certificate online.

• Visit DigiLocker:An Initiative Towards Paperless Governance.

• Create an account by clicking “Sign up”. Enter all the relevant details and click on “Submit” button”. Your mobile number/Aadhar card number is your user name.

• Sign in again using you’re the generated user name and password. You will receive an OTP on your phone number. Enter the OTP and click on “Submit” button.

1. Go to “Search Documents” tab at the left-hand side of the website.
2. Under the list of all “State Government”, click on “VIEW ALL(36).”
3. Select your state from the list
4. Type “marriage certificate” in the Search bar
5. Click on the “Marriage certificate” tab and enter all the details including your marriage certificate number.
6. Click on the checkbox and then on “Get Document”.
7. You will find your birth certificate in pdf format in “Issued Documents”

2. You can download the Digilocker app and download your marriage certificate. The process is the same as aforementioned for the Digilocker website.
3. Some states like Maharashtra and West Bengal do not have the facility of downloading marriage certificates from Digilocker app or website. In such cases, you can get your marriage certificates from the offices of Registrar of the local Municipalities for that state. You can go to the Registrar’s office on the day of the appointment. The witnesses and the couple will verify and sign all the documents for marriage registration. They can provide the  marriage certificate on the same day itself after the Registrar signs on it.

In some states like Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, marriages certificates are issued by edistrict portal of that respective state. States like Odisha, they are issued by the Revenue Department or the largest Municipal Corporation itself. In Punjab, these certificates are issued by Punjab e-Governance society.
