You have completed your online passport application, paid fees and booked an appointment for a PSK visit. If you have to change or reschedule  passport appointment, you can do it online through your existing user account on the Passportseva official website. You don’t have to pay any additional fees to reschedule  passport appointment for two times within a year from the first appointment date. After the change in appointment date for the PSK visit, a new application receipt will be generated. You have to carry a new appointment receipt and documents to PSK on a rescheduled date.

The number of times you can reschedule passport appointment depends on the mode of application:

1. Normal: Two times in a year.
2. Tatkal: One time in a year

How to Reschedule Passport Appointment?

1. Visit to the Passportseva portal
2. Log in the portal using existing user id and password
3. Click on the View Saved / submitted Applications tab.
4. Select current file  and Click on the schedule appointment tab.
5. You will see a confirmation message with the number of remaining reschedule/cancellation attempts.
6. Select the desired PSK and click the Next button.
7. Check the available reservation dates displayed on the PSK and then click the appointment button.
8. Your new appointment for the selected PSK will be booked automatically, and any previously booked ARN appointments will be cancelled.
9. Download new generated application receipt and print it

Visit selected PSK for further documents verification on rescheduled appointment date.

How to check passport appointment availability?

Before you reschedule passport appointment, you can check passport slot availability for any PSK online through passportseva website.

1. Visit to the official website of the Passport Seva portal
2. Click on appointment availability status in the left menu bar.
3. Choose the passport office.
4. Click the “Check appointment availability” button.
5. It will show list of available appointments at the various PSK/POPSK in your region.
6. Select available date that has more appointment slots so that you can get your application process completed easily.

The passport office allows a maximum of 2 reschedule of passport appointment in a year for your passport application. It is advisable to reschedule appointments rather than canceling them. If you exceed this limit, or if you are unable to attend the PSK on the specified date, your passport application will be cancelled. Then You must submit a new application and pay the full fees.
