Minor passport required documents vary depending on the different factors. Here are the list of the documents required for minor passport

List of Acceptable Address Proof
One important thing to note is that current address proof of parent is also accepted as a valid document for minors

• • Utility bills (water, telephone, electricity, gas)

• • Election commission photo ID card

• • Employer certificate on letterhead

• • Parent’s passport copy (for minors)

Non-ECR

For dependent children of gazetted government servants:

Documents required for minor passport in Tatkal Category

Here are the list of minor passport required documents if you are applying in tatkal category, then you need to submit these

1. Address Proof

• • Aadhaar card or e-Aadhaar with 12-digit Aadhaar number from UIDAI

• • Student photo ID cards from recognized schools/colleges

• • Birth certificates issued under the Births and Deaths Registration Act

• • Old passport (for re-issue cases only)

• • PAN card

Points to Note:

• • Single parents can apply for child’s passport with only their name.

• • For unwed parents, only one parent’s name is included.

• • For divorced/separated parents, the parent with custody can apply without the other parent’s consent by providing a court order or declaration.

• • For children born outside wedlock, both parents’ names can be included with a declaration.

• • Step-parent’s name can be included instead of biological parent’s name with certain documents.

• • For orphans, a declaration from the child care home can be used for date of birth proof.

• • Children born abroad to Indian citizens must have their birth registered at the Indian consulate within 1 year.
