How to renew Indian passport

You can go to the Passport Seva Kendra for renewal or do it online. Follow the steps below to renew your old passport:-

  1. Go to Passport Seva Home(passportindia.gov.in)
  2. Register and login with ID
  3. Click on “re-issue of passport” link
  4.  Fill up all the required fields and submit the form.
  5. Click on “Pay and Schedule an appointment” link to book an appointment with your nearest PSK.
  6. Choose your desired date and time.
  7. You will be redirected to a secure payment gateway. Pay your passport renewal fees using Credit, debit,visa, master card, SBI challan or online banking.
  8. Click on “Print application receipt” to take a print out of the application page.
  9. Visit the PSK/PSO on the day of appointment with original documents.
  10. After PSK visit, you need to undergo police verification at police station near your address.

How much time does it take to renew passport in India?
