Steps for applying Passport Application in Delhi

Here is the step guide for you to apply for passport in Delhi.

1. Visit Passport Seva Portal & Register
2. Login and click “Apply for Fresh Passport” or “Reissue of Passport.”
3. Fill in all the required details and click “Submit.”
4. Click “Pay and Schedule Appointment,” pay the fee online, and choose a date to visit your nearest passport office in Delhi
5. You’ll get SMS with your appointment details (date, time and PSK address)
6. On your appointment day, go to the passport office
   • All original documents
   • A printed copy of your application and payment receipt
   • The child (if applying for a minor)
7. After police verification(if required), your passport will be sent to your home by post in a few days.

There are two types of passports issued in India normal and tatkal. Both have the same format and features, but Tatkal passports are processed faster and require additional verification and higher fee. Here are the documents required for Tatkal passport:

There is no fixed lunch break at the Passport Seva Kendra. Staff take turns for breaks so that passport services keep running without stopping during working hours.
