You can download marriage certificate within few minutes if you have marriage registration number or application number mentioned on marriage certificate issued by Registrar. You can download DigiLocker for these states only – Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Meghalaya, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, and Tripura.

• Visit official DigiLocker website. Click on Sign Up to create account
• Enter required details and click Submit. Use mobile number or Aadhaar number as username. Log in using username and password. Enter OTP received on registered mobile number and click Submit
• Go to Search Documents section on left side of screen
• Under State Government, click View All
• Select your state from list
• Type Marriage Certificate in search bar
• Click on Marriage Certificate option
• Enter marriage certificate number and other required details
• Click Get Document
• Marriage certificate appears in PDF format under Issued Documents

Don’t worry, the hard copy of your original marriage certificate contain these numbers . All these numbers are alternatives names for marriage registration number.
2. You can download the Digilocker app and download your marriage certificate.
3. Some states like Maharashtra and West Bengal do not have the facility of downloading marriage certificates from Digilocker app or website. In such cases, you can get your marriage certificates from the offices of Registrar of the local Municipalities for that state. You can go to the Registrar’s office on the day of the appointment. The witnesses and the couple will verify and sign all the documents for marriage registration. They can provide the  marriage certificate on the same day itself after the Registrar signs on it.
