RTO Ranchi comes under transport department of Jharkhand. DTO Ranchi is responsible for traffic regulations, Road tax collection, issue of Driving liecnce,vehicle registration and other associated works such as transfer of ownership,HP addition/termination, NOC etc. in Ranchi district of Jharkhand. To manage the administrative works in Ranchi there is one district transport office i.e. DTO Ranchi (JH01).
RTO Ranchi performs different tasks or activities required to ensure safe and appropriate transport on the road. RTO Ranchi is primarily responsible for the enforcement of the rules and regulations in road transport in the Ranchi region.
