Documents required for RC transfer within the same state 

 A) I agree to the sale by a notary public 

 As a general rule, you need two forms when selling a vehicle. These are forms 29 and 30. Of these two forms, only two copies of Form 29 and one copy of Form 30 need to be submitted to the nearest RTO. 

 If external funding is obtained from a lender, Form 35 must also be submitted with a non-controversial letter from the lender. In addition, if you want to transfer your car RC at auction, you will need Form 32. 

 You will also need the following documents required for RC transfer in order to complete the RC transfer of your car, bike, or any vehicle: 

Documents provided by the seller: 

 The following document should be provided by the seller for the RC transfer:

  1. original RC of the vehicle
  2. Insurance policy of the vehicle 
  3. Customs clearance certificate
  4. A photocopy of the PUC certificate 
  5. Road tax-related documents from the RTO
  6. photocopy of relevant delivery note of the vehicle
  7. Owner’s manual of the vehicle that has been sold
  8. All documents related to warranty
  9. History of Service 
  10. A copy of the original invoice of the vehicle

  1. You have signed a  sales contract
  2. Proof of KYC document and address
  3. demand draft copy.

  1. 2 photocopies of Form 29.

  3. A copy of genuine R.C. 
  4. Photocopy of valid car insurance.
  5. A copy of PUC.

  8. Original Clearance Certificate.

 C) Documents for applying for Customs Certificate (CC): 

  As a first-time buyer, the following documents required for RC transfer are:

  1. CC  request letter. 
  2. A copy of the genuine R.C. 
  3. original insurance document.
  4. Copy of PUC.  
  5. A self-addressed envelope that has stamps worth Rs.30 affixed on them. This is used by the RTO to send the CC (This envelope must be attached only if you are applying offline for the RC transfer).
