- You can renew driving license within one year before its validity expires.

- If you renew after the grace period, there will be a late fine of 1000 Rs per annum for the renewal of driving licence
- After one year of expiry, you need to take a driving re-test for renewal.
- You can not apply for renewal after 5 years of license expiry. It needs to apply for new driving licence after 5 years.

For a completely online process for DL renewal, you have to upload documents in softcopy (pdf or jpg). How to renew driving license online?
