Gujarat RTO Vehicle Services Guide
1. New Vehicle Registration in Gujarat
- Get Form 20 from dealer, RTO or Parivahan website
- Fill the form with owner details, chassis number, and engine number
- Collect required documents like Form 21, Form 22, invoice, ID proof, address proof, insurance, temporary RC and photos
- Pay fees and road tax online or at RTO
- Vehicle inspection: officer checks details, matches numbers, and verifies emissions
- Wait for RC. You will receive it by post in 1–2 weeks
- Fix HSRP number plates from approved vendor
2. Transfer of Vehicle Ownership
- Fill Form 29 and Form 30 (2 copies each)
- Get bank NOC (Form 35) if vehicle was on loan
- Collect documents like original RC, insurance, PUC, ID proof, address proof, and photos
- Submit application at RTO within 14 days of sale
- Pay transfer fee
- RTO checks records and issues new RC in buyer’s name

- Clear fines & taxes, get bank NOC if loan.
