How to correct PAN card online
You can apply for PAN card correction for name change, father name update, date of birth correction, or address update. Here is process for PAN card correction:
- Go to the NSDL website and click on “Online Application for Changes Or Correction in PAN Data (PAN Change Request Form)”.
- Choose applicant category and click Select
- You will see a form labelled “Request For New PAN Card Or/And Changes Or Corrections In PAN Data.” Fill in the form’s details and make any necessary changes.
- When you have finished filing the necessary details/changes/corrections, click the submit button.
- You will be given acknowledgement slip.
PAN card correction fees
After submitting PAN correction form online, acknowledgement slip is generated. Next step is payment.
PAN card correction fee depends on applicant address. For Indian address, fee is Rs.100. For foreign address, fee is Rs. 1020.
Payment can be made through online or offline mode.
Online Payment Mode
Online payment can be done through debit card, credit card, net banking, or demand draft payable to NSDL PAN, Mumbai. When payment is made online, banks may add extra gateway charges, usually around 2% for card transactions and 4% + GST for net banking.
Offline Payment Mode
For offline payment, prepare demand draft payable to NSDL – PAN, Mumbai. Write applicant name and acknowledgement number on reverse side of demand draft. Place acknowledgement slip with documents in packet and send to NSDL e‑Governance Infrastructure Limited, 5th Floor, Mantri Sterling, Plot No 341, Survey No 997/8, Model Colony, Near Deep Bungalow Chowk, Pune – 411016. Once packet is received, application will be processed after verification
