Address Proof

Here are the list of acceptable address proof. Things you need to keep in mind is that for minors, parent’s current address proof is accepted

Notes:

• Only present address proof required, irrespective of stay duration
• Aadhaar card accepted as proof of address and photo ID
• Company address proof only from public limited companies on letterhead
• Specific bank list for accepting passbooks as address proof

Birth Proof

1. Birth certificate issued by municipal authorities/prescribed authorities under the Birth and Death Registration Act, 1969.
2. Transfer/School leaving/Matriculation certificate from recognized educational board/last attended school.
3. Policy bond from public life insurance companies mentioning the date of birth.
4. Orphanage/Child care home declaration on letterhead confirming the date of birth.

Non-ECR

or dependent children of gazetted government servants:

1. Identity Certificate as per Annexure A
2. Birth Certificate issued by municipal authority
3. School leaving/transfer certificate from last attended school
4. Parent’s passport copy (government servant)

For children up to 18 years of age:

Here are the list of minor passport required documents if you are applying in tatkal category, then you need to submit these

1. Address Proof

5. Step-parent’s name can be included instead of biological parent’s name with certain documents.
6. For orphans, a declaration from the child care home can be used for date of birth proof.
7. Children born abroad to Indian citizens must have their birth registered at the Indian consulate within 1 year.
