Check Pan card status

You can track the PAN card status online for all types of PAN-related services. In other words, you can track the status if you apply for a new PAN; reprint your PAN card after it's been misplaced, or change/update existing details in your PAN. You can track the status of all these types of PAN requests on various websites, like NSDL, UTIITSL, or Income Tax e-filing. You can check the status of all the above PAN-related requests by calling or sending an SMS. You can check the status of a new e-PAN or e-PAN’s corrections on the Income Tax e-Filing website. If you don’t remember the acknowledgement number of your PAN card application, you can search using your name and PAN card number along with your date of birth on the NSDL and UTIITSL websites, respectively. UTIITSL has launched the “My PAN” app for all PAN Card-related services. 

How to check PAN card status?

• Using NSDL website

1. Visit Status Track search for PAN/TAN (nsdl.com)
2. Choose “PAN – New/Change Request” as the Application Type.
3. Enter your 15-digit Acknowledgement Number before you click on "Submit."
4. You will be redirected to a page where your PAN card status is displayed. 
5. If you don’t remember your acknowledgement number, please visit the following website to check your PAN card status.
6. Visit Status Track search for PAN/TAN (nsdl.com)
7. Choose “PAN – New/Change Request” as the Application Type.
8. Select the “Name” tick box and enter your first, middle and last name along with your Date of Birth.
9. Click on “Submit” and the next page will show the status of your PAN card application request. 

• UTIITSL website

1. Visit UTIITSL:: Track your PAN Application
   
2. Enter your Coupon Number/ PAN number and DOB. Enter the Captcha also.
3. Click on “Submit” and the next page will show the status of your PAN card application request. 

• Income Tax e-filing website

1. Visit Income Tax Portal Verify Your PAN Page or you can select “Verify PAN details” under the “Quick Links” section from the homepage.
2. Enter your PAN card number, name, DOB and mobile number.
3. Enter the OTP sent on your mobile number before you click on “Validate”.
4. You will be redirected to a page where your PAN card status is displayed. 

• By Phone call

1. Phone Number to track PAN status: 020-27218080(TIN Call-centre number)
2. You need to provide your 15-digit acknowledgement number during the call to know the current status of your PAN card application request. 

• By SMS 

1. SMS Format: NSDLPAN<Acknowledgement number>
2. SMS Number: 57575
3. SMS status time: 3 days after submission of the new PAN card application or a PAN application for update or reprint of the PAN card.

• UMANG website

1. Visit My PAN - UMANG
2. Click on the “Login/Register” blue button on the top-left corner of the page.
3. Click on “Register here” and type in your credentials. Type in and remember your M-PIN. You can also register with “MeriPehchan”
4. Login using the credentials and mobile number. Enter the OTP you received before you click on “Login”.
5. Scroll down and click on “Open” under “PAN Query”.
6. Enter your Application Number and PAN number. 
7. Click on “Submit” and the next page will show the status of your PAN card application request. 

• My PAN app

1. Download the app from the Google Play store or the Apple Store (MyPAN – Apps on Google Play/?MyPAN on the App Store)
2. Accept the terms and conditions.
3. Click on the “PAN Query” option after the app launches.
4. Click on “Track your PAN Card”
5. Enter your Application Number and PAN number. 
6. Click on “Submit” and the next page will show the status of your PAN card application request.
